Makeda Porter-Carr

Makeda is a native of Guam and currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a doctorate degree in Education/Leadership and Policy Studies.

When she is not brunching, Makeda can be found hosting her podcast The Black Educated Tea Podcast, reading, traveling, skating, and exercising.

One thing that Makeda is passionate about is spending time with family and meeting new people. She joined Brown Skin Brunchin to have meaningful connections with amazing women and is looking forward to everything this sisterhood has to offer.
