About the event
It’s time to BRUNCH! Join Brown Skin Brunchin’ this month as we host brunch at Russell’s on Lake Ivanhoe at 12:30PM.
In August of 2020 local friends came together and opened Russell’s on Lake Ivanhoe, an innovative and exciting new restaurant on the shores of Lake Ivanhoe in the City of Orlando. This location is no stranger to innovation and change; in 1910 George Russell (the restaurant’s namesake) relocated from Connecticut and purchased this eastern shore of the lake to launch his pineapple farm, becoming the largest pineapple farm on the mainland USA. In 1930, with the increased production of pineapples in Puerto Rico and Cuba, Mr. Russell was forced to innovate and pivot, converting his pineapple farm into a water park he called “Joyland” or as the locals referred to it, “Russells Point”, complete with beach, bath house and huge water toboggan. Fast forward to today, these humble gentlemen have set out to create Orlando’s finest restaurant, with their global hospitality expertise and Chef Emmanuel’s worldly culinary experience combined with a friendly and relaxed vibe.
Haven’t brunched with us before, and wondering what we do? Brunch of course! We specialize in bringing together women of color for good food, fun, and drinks, all while creating friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Connect with women locally and nationwide as you expand your Brunchin’ circle.
To reserve your space in this month's brunch, a fee of $10 is required. Seating is confirmed once your RSVP and payment are received. Wondering what the $10 covers? It covers the cost/fees associated with keeping the group active.
See you at brunch!
