Toya Dones

Toya Dones was born in Oklahoma. She grew up as an Army Brat and moved around a lot. She does not consider herself native to any particular area. However, North Carolina is home because both of her parents are from a little town called Roanoke Rapids. She currently resides in Holly Springs.

She is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education, and later earned a Master of Education in Education Administration from Temple University. When she is not teaching students with unique learning abilities, Toya enjoys writing poetry, traveling, attending concerts, and visiting cigar lounges.

One thing that Toya is passionate about is skincare and clean beauty because of her journey with autoimmune-related skin issues. She joined Brown Skin Brunchin because of her love for all things brunch-related and is looking forward to creating shared experiences and making organic connections over scrumptious meals.
