LaTronda Larry

LaTronda is a true Chicago girl (112Th), born and raised. She became a Texan by default when she moved there in 1998 making it home. LaTronda holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and preparing to defend her Doctoral degree in Human Services with a concentration in Military Families and Culture. LaTronda has a passion for the military community which compelled her to start a non-profit in 2012 called Healing Our Heroes Project (HOHP). HOHP facilitated therapeutic retreats for military families. LaTronda received the ‘Service to Veterans Award’ by Governor Abbott and ‘Philanthropy Woman of the Year’ by Texas Women in Business for her work with the military community.


When she is not changes the lives of service members, veterans, and their families, LaTronda can be found enjoying a great romantic comedy novel. She said she will write her own romantic novel and book one day. She also enjoys traveling to destination where there is beautiful water, sand, and an opportunity to sleep on the beach. LaTronda is a lover of Mickey & Minnie Mouse and visited Disney World to celebrated her birthday every year for 12 years pre-COVID.


One thing that LaTronda is passionate about is women. She feels that they come in all shapes, skin tones, backgrounds, and all have a story or testimony to share to help another woman in need. One of her favorite quotes is, “Healthy Women, Healthy World” ~ Unknown. LaTronda joined Brown Skin Brunchin because she believes, anytime women get together there is a natural tendency to empower each other without knowing any specific. It’s a powerful time and she desire to contribute to the Brunchin fun, love, and laughter.
