Gerri Meggett

Baltimore Ambassador

Gerri Alston Meggett is a native of Hampton, VA and currently resides in Ellicott City, MD.

She is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Chemistry minor); Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems; and Doctorate degree in Organizational Development and Leadership.

When she is not fulfilling her duties as a civil servant for the Department of Homeland Security, Gerri enjoys reading, sleeping, and traveling. One thing that Gerri is passionate about is food. As a self-proclaimed “foodie”, Gerri has perfected several signature recipes for which she has become well-known. In addition, during her travels, she makes a point to experience the local/indigenous cuisine to enhance her visit and connect with the culture. And by the way, Gerri has never met a vegetable she didn’t like.

Gerri joined Brown Skin Brunchin because she is a strong advocate for supporting black and brown women in positive endeavors that uplift communities. She is looking forward to sowing good seed into good soil within the Baltimore and Howard Counties of Maryland, as well as building positive networks and relationships with other black and brown Queens.
