Become an Organizer 


Are you ready to bring Brown Skin Brunchin' to your city?  Take a look at our organizers below to see if you have what it takes to get started in your area.  Our monthly brunches are dedicated to bringing together women of color who have a desire to expand their personal and professional circles in an unconventional, yet fun way.  We rely on our organizers to bring together over 200 Brunchers each month across 15 cities.

Lillian Jackson


Lillian is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and has spent the last 16 years as a Human Resources Manager.  A cause that is near and dear to Lillian is providing employment readiness eduction to economically disadvantaged women of color.  When she is not spending time with her two daughters, she enjoys traveling to places near and far to experience different cultures.

Melissa Mason



Melissa is a native of Richmond, Va.  She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with two degrees in Behavioral Health fields.  One of her main goals is helping others, especially women, expand their network and build community amongst one another.  Another passion of hers is helping others improve their quality of life through engagement and education.  She loves spending time with family and friends.  She also loves engaging and learning about other cultures through travel, meeting new people, and having meaningful conversations with others over a good meal.

MJ Cunningham

MJ is a native of Los Angeles, currently residing in the San Antonio area. She has an MBA from Cal State University, Long Beach with an emphasis in finance.  She has a passion for working with small to medium sized businesses in order to help them gain financial control of their organizations.  Outside of work she is passionate about increasing financial literacy amongst youth, as well as decreasing birth mortality rates amongst African American women.


Lynette Thompson

Lynette was born and raised in sunny Southern California.  She has a Master's degree in Behavioral Science with a concentration in negotiations & conflict management.  She has always worked in the civil service and law enforcement fields, as giving back to her community is important to her.  Lynette is an extremely proud single mother, and her only child is currently attending USC School of Law.  She often uses her story as a young African-American, single woman to inspire others, showing them they can find success despite what statistics dictate.  In addition to giving back to her community, Lynette enjoys traveling with her son, as well as friends, and of course, Brunchin' with new friends. 



Kimberlee Wright

Kimberlee is a New York native, who relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in December 2018.  Kimberlee is a graduate of Pace University with an Accounting Degree and has an MBA from Utica College in Economic Crime and Fraud Management.  She is a compliance officer for a global financial services company.  Her passion outside of work is travel and her long term goal is to visit all of the seven continents.  Aside from travel, Kimberlee loves brunching, spending time with her friends and family, meeting new people wherever she goes, and making new friends along the way.

Become an Organizer

Are you interested in becoming an organizer?  Each month Brown Skin Brunchin' collectively has over 100+ members attending a brunch organized for them by our team.  We currently have memberships in 10 cities and we are researching various markets to expand to other areas. Our organizers are responsible for all aspects of the monthly brunch event.  This includes researching brunches, responding to member inquiries, and ensuring the overall brunch experience is pleasant for all attendees.  Our organizers are available for one weekend day each month to host a brunch at a local restaurant.
